Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager (Electrical) to join their client's team in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is a direct hire opportunity and will be fully onsite at a well-known Baltimore facility and landmark. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all daily maintenance operations, managing a team of maintenance staff and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and building regulations. The salary range for this supervisory position is between $100,000 and $125,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily maintenance operations and work assignments across all trades areas.
- Plans, schedules, and prioritizes preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects.
- Manages a team of maintenance staff and contractors; provides guidance, leadership, and performance feedback.
- Provides on-the-job and procedural training for team members; ensures technical skills are current and safety compliant.
- Develops and implements facility maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Conducts site inspections and audits to ensure work meets specifications and regulatory standards.
- Assesses facility needs and recommends capital projects or large-scale repairs; contributes to budget planning.
- Reviews and approves work orders, material requests, cost estimates, and time projections.
- Coordinates with external vendors and contractors; reviews bids and contracts for services.
- Ensures compliance with safety codes, environmental regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepares technical documents including scopes of work, preventive maintenance schedules, and procurement specifications.
- Tracks inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; authorizes purchases as needed.
- Develops and maintains service records, logs, and performance reports.
- Responds to facility emergencies and coordinates resolution efforts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems, including repair and preventive maintenance methods.
- Understanding of applicable safety codes, building regulations, and trade standards.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of project management principles and budgeting processes.
- Skilled in estimating labor, materials, and timelines for complex maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse maintenance team.
- Ability to plan strategically and align maintenance goals with organizational priorities.
- Proficiency with facility management systems, work order tracking, and reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

This is a supervisory position with a salary range of $100,000 to $125,000 per year.
